Latifa Bin Haider
Co-FounderLatifa earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the American University of Sharjah. While at university she co-founded Mental Health AE, an initiative with the aim to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to aid those who haven’t had the opportunity or platform to voice their challenges. As a young Emirati woman, she wanted to empower the women in her society with opportunities and education. This is when she founded Baytuki and Baytuki Academy.
Ali Khawaja
Co-FounderAli serves as a faculty member in the Department of Management at the American University of Sharjah. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in MIS and Masters in Business Administration from the American University of Sharjah. Ali is the co-founder of Mental Health AE. He found his calling when he looked at the shocking statistics surrounding mental health globally and the lack of support available in the region.

Bisma Anwar
AdvisorBisma Anwar is a Licensed Mental Health counselor. She has a Master of Education and a Master of Arts degrees in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College in Columbia University. Her areas of expertise include depression and anxiety, stress management, cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy. Bisma works at Mount Sinai hospital, has a private practice in Queens and does workshops and gives lectures throughout the tristate area.
Dr Nick Wakefield
AdvisorDr Nick currently serves as the Clinical Director as well as a Clinical Psychologist at The Free Spirit Collective. He has extensive experience in his career of which just the past 5 years have been in the UAE. His background is working with people who have complex psychological histories and trauma as such I have substantial experience in working with a range of psychological difficulties including personality disorder, psychosis, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, anger and interpersonal difficulties.
